Lord Cardigan commemorative chest

Lord Cardigan: commemorative chest

These photographs were sent to me by Nancy McKinney who lives in Los Angeles, California. She has in her possession a chest which she inherited from her grandfather. Her grandfather's family was fairly well-to-do.  He was born around 1893 in Rockford, Illinois and travelled extensively in Europe. The chest, which came into Nancy's ownership in 1988, measures 32" long x 16" wide x 14"high. Nancy would love to know more about this chest. If you have any information, please contact me and I will pass on the message.
